Want to get your website, service, or content on Little Printer, so that owners can subscribe and get regular new content?
Our Developer Tools launch today!
Little Printer owners subscribe to content that prints according to their own schedule. We call
these “publications,” and they’re made by… well, anyone who wants to. Publications are designed in HTML, the language of the Web, and they’re hosted by you, so they can integrate directly with your existing website. We’ve made it as easy as possible, and the content is as dynamic and as personalised as you make it. There are already publications from a weekly birthday reminder (personalised, and linked to your Facebook to learn when your friend’s birthdays are) to recipe recommendations for this week’s seasonal ingredients (by BBC Worldwide). More here.
The tools we’re launching today are aimed at Web designers and developers who are doing the nitty-gritty design and technology of making the publications. They include reference documentation, and preview tools to see exactly how your publication will look when it’s printed by Little Printer. You can do all of this without waiting to have a Little Printer on your desk.
Have a look at our sneak peek of the dev tools and this tech walkthrough of how publications work.
In the future we’ll be adding more features: a way for you to submit your publication so it’ll be available to all Little Printer owners, and a way to test subscribing to your publication through the “Remote” mobile website.
Here’s the link again: Little Printer Developer Tools. (It’s also in the footer of every page on our website.)
And we can’t wait to see what everyone makes. Let us know at publishers@bergcloud.com.
(Hello to everyone from PSFK London! Matt Webb is there right now, launching these Developer Tools. Thank you for your support.)
